And I won't bother you guys with how bad the road is, or how many accidents I saw. Instead, I stopped for lunch at one of the old strongholds of good gaścho food in Rio Grande do Sul, and here's what I saw out the window from my table.
Talk about picking the right table! Also, here's a tip if you ever find yourself in a truck heavy road in Brazil: stop for a meal at 11:30, 4:30 or 6:30. That way, when you're heading back out to the road, all the truckers will be going in for food and a nap. Traffic takes a decent two hours to pick back up.
