As such, I'll be required by law to drive a Swedish wagon once I aquire my doctorate. I think this would do well, a V10 Saab wagon. Only 5 more years!

So what do you exactly need to do to get a PhD in English? When I see doctorate, I tend to think of people researching in a lab, but I'm not too familiar with what you would do in liberal arts.
