Parked the LGT next to this beauty of a V70R during lunch today. It's funny how much wider the Volvo is, I love that shape.
Also, I REALLY need to wash my car :(

Oh and yours is nice too, but that Volvo is

haha, exactly. I almost bought a red V70R (spaceball shifter, of course!) when I was in the market for the Subaru....but then I made the more logical purchase - more reliable, better AWD system, etc.
If the decision were to be made purely on sexiness (and seats!) it would've been a V70R explosion all over the place. Would've been a cheaper initial purchase (amazing how low they go on the used market), but my wallet probably would've seen some actual explosions since then.

It's going to cost you one way or another, there is no way to get around it, ever. Any car is a vastly complex machine, consider this a combustion engine is propelled by freaking explosions contained inside a metal rectangle. Make your picks based upon which will bring you greater joy. Do you enjoy researching and repairing your car? Add that as a deciding factor. Does it give you that special sensation, a sensation no one and nothing but absolute freedom can give you? If it's a PT cruiser, wonderful. If it's a M3, wonderful. If it's a Koenigsegg, wonderful. Whatever action you take in life, do something that challenges you, challenge make you grow as a person. Succeeding in challenges makes you happy. Never fear failure, failure is a tool, a stepping stone. Like when metal armor was burned and burned and then cooled, your failures make you stronger, make you tougher, make you better. Do the best you can at every moment of your life.

Oh, I completely agree. And the Subaru is an absolute hoot and I love that car.
In fact, I recently almost bought an E46 M3 but backed out because it meant I'd have to sell the Subaru and I couldn't bring myself to do it. I also have an E30 sitting in the garage (which now has developed a fuel leak, joy!), so two is the most amount of automotive pleasure I can juggle at this point.
If I could have it ALL, I'd take the Subaru AND the V70 though.

I'm with you. When I have it all I will have a properly sorted and fully built overlanding Disco 2, a properly sorted and tastefully modded 03 E39 M5 in Le Mans Blue, and a Lotus T125 or similar decommissioned Formula 1 car.

Haha, wow an F1 car...you'll need a track and a pit crew for that too!
Of course the 2 wagons won't be the only things I'll have in my dream garage...I've got a list going, and it just keeps growing. An E39 M5 or and/or an E38 7 series are a definite must have.
