I'm going to try more of Peet's blends.
What are your favorite coffees, Oppo?

If you can get passed the teen girl frapachinno(spelling?) part, Starbucks has some really good stuff. My favorites..
1) Casi Cielo
2) Gold Coast
3) Verona
And a few others are decent as well

I was pissed when my local Caribou Closed and became a Peet's. Then i started going to Bean & Bite (a DC Chain) for a little while.
Fast forward 2 months - I go to Peet's everyday. There coffee is expensive (a large black coffee is $1 more than Bean & Bite), but the quality is absurdly good.
For those who like incredibly strong black coffee - Peet's is the $hit.

I usually order from a variety of roasters. But if there's a central african microlot I'm usually ordering that.

Why not brew your own? I enjoy making my coffee.

I do have my little French Press that I use on weekends. I wake up at 6:30 for work, and I get to work at 9ish. If I drink coffee too early my stomach feels like death.
Plus, I enjoy seeing the friendly baristas that know what I order before I say anything!

They haven't actually converted any of them around here like they claimed they would. We still have a Caribou or two open within 15 miles, but the rest all closed and are either something else entirely, or vacant.

Love Peet's. Used to hit them - and a small group called the Coffee Roastery - in CA all the time. Now you can buy Peet's beans in the stores here in MN. Major Dickason's is still my favorite of those. Dunn Bros. is outstanding, too.

Here in MD the Caribou I used to go to announced their closing and (re)opening as a Peet's in exactly 1 month.
Nothing happened for two months. People got angry (never mess with people who haven't had their morning coffee), so Peet's promised they'd have a cart outside the location that served coffee while it was being renovated.
Lies....
But it's open now so I'm happy.
