I just transferred all of my iTunes data and stuff to a new computer and that went swimmingly. The problem now is when I connect my iPhone (iPhone 4 connecting to Windows 8.1) iTunes doesn't recognize it's there and thus I can't sync it to iTunes or anything. I plug it in and instead it opens up the folders on it as if I plugged in a flash drive. Does anyone know of any ways I could solve this?
EDIT: I followed some links you guys showed me andfoud that my Mobile Device USB Driver was downloaded but not installed. It was stupidly complicated but it's working now! Muchas gracias mi amigos!

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Slightly more seriously, that happens to me occasionally and usually just unplugging the USB cable and plugging it back in again works. Sometimes it takes more than once.

Google is your friend. I guarantee you that you aren't the only person who has had this problem. Google it and check out some forums. That's how I solve 90% of my tech issues.

Just for giggles - are you plugging into a USB2 or USB3 port? I know they're supposed to be completely compatible, but I've had devices not recognize properly when plugged into USB3.

USB3. My laptop doesn't have any USB2 ports.

I checked the internet, and it said you need to get a new Retina Macbook Pro...
in seriousness though, you probably put the thing in DFU mode. Googling will help you get it out of that mode.

If you follow the instructions here , and still get no results, the only thing I can recommend is to trade in for a Nokia Lumia™ with Windows® Phone 8.

Yeah, it's the phone I was using on my old computer too.
