A classic Lincoln Mark V of the malaise era?

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Or a large & in charge 1993 Town Car.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I think I'd go for the Town Car as a new family hauler, but the Mark V for that cross country trip my wife wants to take. Cruising in style.

Town Car! I have always liked them especially the last generation. So much class, it's a shame they're dead.

The malaise land boat. It looks great and is probably ridiculously comfortable.

Even thought it is low-power malaise, it can be easily remidied. They were often the same blocks with lower compression pistons and terrible heads. While power suffered, torque was still respectable for most cars of the time if you put a good exhaust on them.

At little bit of cylinder head work would probably wake it up nicely.

Mark V, because nothing says you've arrived like six feet of bonnet and overhangs so long they threaten to invade separate time zones.

Mark V all day for me.

It's a land yacht with a freaking 460.

With intake, distributor, and basic exhaust work I bet the thing would really wake up. That and it probably has a Ford 9" rear with discs.

Lincoln, all day. So much class. Besides, Malaise can more or less be tuned out.

The Town Car because I used to own an '88 and I miss it.

Is there a third option? Quite possibly my two least favorite Lincoln designs ever.

I'd pick the 93 if I had to chose, because there's less red.

I prefer the Mark V, but the Town Car would be the more practical choice for daily use. It took a while, but I can say that I've definitely warmed up to the '90s style too. Can't say its as good looking as the equivalent year Fleetwood, but at least the Town Car was well built and reliable.
