Opponauts and oppominions give me your oppoinions
Pictures at the bottom but a Ferrari f40 for your time
So oppo, I've been wanting a gopro for some time, and i went yard saleing with my family (they like to go every saturday) and and one yard sake there was a guy who works for a very large river rafting supply company that is based near where i live had a contour+ (Just the contour+ from 2011ish, not the +2) and he had a price on it of $50, which included the camera and the waterproof casing, but no cords or mounts, i tested it and it turned on fine, so i assumed it worked. (Luckily after testing it out, everything seems to work fine, the camera itself still looks perfect and the casing has very few scratches, the live feed from the bluetooth seems to work fine, and i ended up just buying a cheap PNY 16 GB microSD card from walmart, and i luckily had a miniUSB cable still laying around, i also tire it under water and it appeared that the waterproof case was indeed waterproof because it kept the camera from getting wet,
My question to all of you is how do mounts for gopro and contour differ, if you've used both, which do you like better and why, and do you think i got a good deal. Also NPOCP?
And for those of you hat just went straight to the end of the post i will reiterate my question.

They're completely 100% different

Good price, these were over $500 brand new, probably still worth a good $200. Haven't tried the mounts so I can' speak for them.

What makes them different? Are they used for different activities or something?

To me that seems like quite a lot to pay for it new since the highest version gopro is only $400 and i think this one was somewhere between the middle and high model, but thats cool that i got it for a decent price.

Yeah they were always a bit more pricey than the GoPro's, one of the main reasons they didn't sell as well. Contour+ was the top of the range to my knowledge, it replaced the Contour HD and was up-spec from the Contour GPS.

One thing i do like about the contour+, which in a way makes sense why it was more expensive than the gopro is the gps, where is says longitude, latitude, altitude and speed.I'm not sure if its worth the extra $100, but used and especially not being very expensive is nice to me.

smart phone connectivity for framing shots in 2011 was a big deal too.

yeah, its weird to think that that was such a big deal not that long ago, and that was when android still wasn't very good. unlike today the framing shots really isn't that big of a selling point now, though didn't contour go out of business? or am i totally wrong and am just imagining things?

Yeah about a year ago. GoPro really put the hurt on them. Their website is still up and I think there's just a small team to honour servicing and warranty's maybe? but no new products being released.
Also 2011 was
just
when android came good. Galaxy S II came out that year and that was pretty good.

I dont know, i didn't get my first android phone until last november, but i was, following it, somewhat, i just get all early android confused so easily. Was there ever a version 3.0 on android? because i remember 2.3 was gingerbread, but i have never really hear of version 3.x of android, but you hear of 4.1 was jelly bean (i think) and now 4.4 kit kat.

Yeah, 3.0 Honeycomb was for tablets only. The phones went straight from 3.x to 4.0

Not a single mount will cross over

The only viable option.

duct tape does fix everything, one of my friends' dad always carries a roll of duct tape with him on a long car trip so if any belts break, be can just make a new temporary one out of duct tape.
