welcome back to "nice or rice" where I post up a mod and ask "is it nice....or rice?" (And then quickly disregard those that don't agree because I'm keeping the mod anyway, otherwise why would I have done it?)

Genuine OEM Altezza badge, in its OEM location. I won't be taking off the L or Lexus badges.

Here's an OEM Altezza trunk. As you can see there are actually no other badges on it (aka no "T" or "Toyota"

It matches my front Altezza badge (which is also in an OEM location)

So what do you say folks...Nice....or rice?

Why is that? On side note, I placed them on my headlights while they were on and they DO NOT block any light at all. Also the signals are unaffected, as there are actually 2 per side (one on top and one on the bottom). So, me rikey..:D

Making a car look angry is just plain ricey, I mean..look at all the Neon's with angry eyelids..nuff said. Back to the badge though, I want to get some Fairlady Z badges myself for my Z33

Nice. With a stipulation. If it were mine (which it isn't) I'd pull the Lexus badging, since a Lexus Altezza doesn't exist. I think the Altezza badging by itself looks good.

I'm leaning toward nice, but the different fonts for "Lexus" and "Altezza" seem incongruous. But then, I'm a writer, and that kind of stuff just naturally bugs me.

I considered that too, but after realizing the newer Lexus models changed the font for their names (ie IS350), it seemed to fit in.

Nope, is beautiful badgeless. I am a huge proponent of debadging. The only one I would keep is the large Lexus L in the middle. But it's not my car so do what you want. :) I vote go all the way though, remove the Lexus badging if you're going to keep the Altezza.

I know. I got the idea from seeing SC300/400s with "Lexus" on one side and "Soarer" on the other. Looked great!

Great car. Getting harder to find clean ones. Drop the Lexus badging on the exterior. No sense mussing over steering wheel.

I say shave all the Lexus badges. All in or nothing.

oohh, someone else has done it, neat!

My grille is actually a hybrid. It's an IS200 sport grille with "sport" removed, and an Altezza badge in place. Apparently it was sold as an Altezza grille (without the L obviously). It's the exact same thing, just the emblems are different, so it's still genuine.
