My dad today said that he's bringing the Ody back to the dealer next Tues for further diagnostics...I told him about a J37 swap if it comes to that (thanks !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! !) and he said he'll consult me if necessary...that's a possible yes! My questions are if we do it does the cooling/tranny/starter/etc. need to be upgraded as well? I can't find any info on Ody J37 swaps so I was wondering if you guys had any ideas..

That's great news but hopefully it doesn't come to that. I think an engine swap would be a lot more costly than just replacing the old engine with a new one. But if you want to make the Ody more badass, I'd say go for it! Doing some research, I found that the new J35's that go into MDX's have direct injection and (most likely) the same mounting points so that's also an option.

Yeah, it would be fun but only if the engine actually needs replacing, and idk how many other parts have to be replaced as well, like the starter, cooling...

Hmm, I don't know and Honda forums aren't giving me anything. Odyssey's don't get enough love in the Honda aftermarket crowd. Well, except that insane Bisimoto one. But that thing costs $70k.
