Hey Oppo! Today I would like to share this beautiful Subaru Legacy Wagon that was originally built to compete in the Grand Am Tuner series in 2006.
The car sat unloved for a few years after being replaced in 2007 by Spec B sedans (A shell of which is for sale) but was bought by a local enthusiast and is up and running in the Subaru loving Pacific Northwest! The car is currently competing in the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs (ICSCC) ST class.
Being a fellow Subaru Legacy wagon owner I had to check it out in person. I met up with the owner at Pacific Raceways in Kent WA and took a tour of the car, sat in it and dreamed of pushing it hard into turn 3. Unfortunately I had to leave before I could see the car run. But it is competitive in class.
I love how this car was brought back into competition and hope for its continued success!

I like it in theory, but I couldn't justify doing it myself.
I have one for a couple months, and they're fairly big cars. Too big and soft to race, in my opinion. Why not just start with a better canvas to paint on?

the wagon is 3200lbs and actually has ballast in the car to meet weight/hp class limits

I know nothing about race classes, but I'm referring to physical size: length and width

awesome yes, but stripped interior makes it no fun. you want a wagon for the sleeper fun. throw a load from the hardware store in the back then break out the back windows because you were drifting and the bucket of bricks flew sideways through it

I wouldn't be considering size unless it's a land yacht - something akin to a Malaise Cadillac.
