It was my first time actually, I had a ton of fun. Things I noticed: people who camp drive Dodges, seriously, 3/4's of the campsite were Ram's, Durango's, and Grand Caravans with the occasional Charger thrown in. Somebody towed their mini camper thing with a 7th gen Impala SS, that was interesting to see. People are seriously into this stuff, there were tents that big enough to challenge small cottages. People are stupid drivers in the countryside too, some guy in an Aveo attempted a double pass on me and another minivan and nearly had a head on collision with a biker in the process. If I had any criticisms of minivans practicality isnt one of them, 6 people and their stuff was a pretty comfortable fit in my friends Mercury Monterey. Finally, PBR tastes better around the campfire with friends.

Honestly, every year we do a guys trip camping and we rent a Caravan. Sure, it's a beige mommy box, but the space and rental car price really can't be beat. We could rent an SUV (sadly I am the only friend of this group with a car based in this city and it's a 10 year old econobox) but there's really no more utility, it's just a higher price point.

Nope I went up to the tip of the thumb on lake Huron. I'm not a huge country fan, but I heard that place was a blast.
