The Sequoia has made me fall in love with brown trucks. With the 5.7L V8.

That's a lot of money for a regular cab half ton. If it were my money and I was getting a Dodge it would be with the diesel V6

But then it'd be $40k

There's more chrome on that Mazda than that Raptor.

If you can find a V6 diesel, you're paying very close to MSRP due to demand. Virtually every other Ram is available at a significant discount.
My FIL was casually looking for a quad-cab diesel 1500, and we quickly figured out that you could get a comparably equipped quad-cab 2500 Cummins (that had an MSRP of about a $15,000 premium over the 1500) for about $2000 more.

When it comes to Rams and Z-cars, I prefer the Black Gold.
It's a lot more brown than green in person.

Yep! We looked at a 2014 Ram 1500 with quad cab, 4x4, big horn, 5.7L and it was $45k MSRP but the monthly payments with NOTHING down was less than $430.
