Those look like '99-'00 base 14s wheels, a nice stylish upgrade over the normal 7-spokes. I recommend looking for a $500 torsen LSD diff since base models didn't come with them (unless yours has cruise control, then it might have came with it), really helps putting down what power you have to the ground rather than spin a single wheel. Nice Miata and welcome to the club!

Reminds me of my first pic with my first Miata when I got it. Base trim also :D

I will keep that in mind! I wish it had a LSD but it is still a fun car with out it. I know I want to get a new set of shocks and springs, probably a set of sway bars, and a LSD.

Nice! Congratulations.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3deivr… If you're planning on getting sway bars, I recommend grabbing front ones first to reduce the tail-happiness, then buy endlinks and some sway bar blocks. The factory endlinks won't last long with a heavier bar and the blocks? Well, watch how much the factory frame flexes without it.
It'll flex enough to snap off from fatigue and it'll be a costly repair since that piece is welded to the chassis, not just bolted on.
I nabbed Racing Beat's front sway bar, endlinks, blocks, and additional brace plate from a wrecked '00 Miata, it gave my car a more neutral, controllable feeling in the corners.
Edit: wrong video

HOLY CRAP. I always wondered why they sold the rediculous over priced reinforcement bracket. Is this a problem on a 1996 as well?

Welcome to the club, indeed. Does "base trim" mean no power steering and manual windows?

Thank you! The car has the following options:
A/C
Power steering.
1 owner. The lady actually kept the original brochure and window sticker!

I bought a 1-owner '91 with 120,000 miles on it three years ago. Best car purchase of my life!

Veddy niiiice. Looks amazingly good with those NB wheels. Congrats!

Yes, all Miatas from 1990 to 2005 will be at risk breaking the sway bar chassis mount from fatigue due to using heavy-duty bars in hard cornering. To be honest, if you can score just a set of blocks, then you eliminate about 90% of that flexing and won't need the brace bar.

eh I have a welder I will make something. maybe just gusset and reinforce the stock ones. $150 for new brackets is crazy.
