If its was a NA the clutches are sloppy as hell and its super fun and easy to learn on.

NA. 5 speed. I'm struggling to get going after a full stop. Not enjoying that bit. Only stalled once. Actual driving is fun. The car has a great sound between 3-4000 rpm. Wonderful handling. So far though, the manual has not won me over.

Final Thoughts:

Miata: Awesome

Manual: Meh

Miatas require a transmission turret oil changed every other year and having the factory plastic shifter bushing replaced with a metal one, really smoothes out and increases the direct feeling. If you felt it was notchy, then that's normal for Miatas but even worse for the 6-speed cars.

I disagree on the 6 spd being notchy...I have both so I know. After a good oil change with some Motorcraft synthetic transmission fluid, it's as smooth as my NA.
