Couldn't hurt to polish the old interview skills. Maybe even leverage a raise out of it from your current employer.

Very true. Plus, as actual proper engineering, I'd be possibly more able to put my FE exam pass/EIT status to work, which I can't at my current job.

Look into it. Sometimes the worst thing you can do for your career is get complacent and not even consider other options when they arise. The grass may be greener. If I had never looked for better jobs along the way I would still be working in a tire shop. Obama would just be a senator or something. Michael Jordan would have never become a huge baseball star. Oh wait, that last one is a bad example. And no, I'm not comparing myself to them, unless you think I'm that awesome.
