So im looking for an old japanese minitruck to use as a beater/project. ive narrowed it down to two options and i need your input!
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
In this corner, the 1992 Nissan Hardbody. Its the 2.4L 4 cylinder, 5 speed. 249,xxx miles. Averages around 25mpg. Only issue is it needs two front tires due to bad ball joints (which i have replaced) and its missing the passenger door handle.

In the other corner, a 1990 Mitsubishi mighty max. 214,ooo miles, 4cyl, 5spd. It is blue with a blue interior. It drives great and is in good condition. A/C but its out right now. clutch trans and engine all good. owner says he needs to replace a fuel line.
So what do yall think? the mighty max has fewer miles and looks to be in better shape inside and out, but the hardbody has more power and better aftermarket and parts support? I can get both for around $1700.

I don't know a lot about trucks and especially not minitrucks but maintaining a Nissan sounds easier than maintaining a Mitsu to this casual observer.

Hardbody, sir. You will not regret it. Mine is a 95 4x4 and has 238k miles, it was a yankee car, so it has its fair share of rust, but runs good and strong.
