I started seeing this Skoda a couple blocks from my house last summer (I think). The plate is from British Columbia, so obviously this made its way into the states via Canada. It's always been in the driveway until today, and I'm not one to walk onto other people's property uninvited.

I've never met the owner, as he's never happened to be outside when I've passed by. The Audi wagon behind it also belongs to him, as does a rusty silver Jetta wagon (which I know is a manual, as I've seen him driving it), and recently I've seen a WRX hatch there too. Even more intriguing, I thought I could make out the outline of some sort of microcar in the open garage.

If this dude isn't a Jalopnik/Oppositelock member, he certainly should be.

Strange looking car, I kinda like it. But it's not the best color combo.

I've seen newer Škodas here in Japan. But I didn't know what they were until now.

I've lived most of my life in B.C., and I remember when these were sold here new in Canada. However, I haven't seen on on the road in many years.

It took me awhile to figure out what it was when it showed up. Today was the first time I saw the front end of it. I dig it just for its uniqueness. Definitely not a great color scheme.

Yeah, off first sight I probably wouldn't have known what it was. A fresh repaint, and some new wheels and doing something about those faded rubber bumpers may sharpen the image of it up a bit.

For sure. I hope to see it driving someday

Yeah, Haha. If it even feels like driving :)

I couldn't imagine it running great.
