Browsing through this morning's press releases I came across these images of the new Smart ForTwo and ForFour. JBL seem to have given us the best look yet of the stumpy brothers while previewing their new HiFi.
The Tridium safety cell is back giving a clear family resemblance but overall I call fail. They just aren't funky enough to be true Smarts in my opinion. What do you guys think?

The want is zero. I actually liked the old smart four door and theres just no comparison looks wise. The new one manages to be awkward looking and dull.

I'm impatient to see if Brabus will get something out of these.

I like 'em! I like the new face. Looks more like a Mercedes. But if it's even an inch bigger than the current Smart I will be very disappointed...

I approve. It'll still be rear engine, right?

Yup, shares architecture with the new Renault Twingo. Although the bonnet makes it look front engined both have it in the back.

I know what you mean about looking like a Mercedes. I thought this was a bad thing though, Smart should be its own brand IMO.

There are better pictures out there:
Notice the third pedal on the last picture.

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the looks of the old ForFour. The new one is, indeed, dull as bricks—particularly when there's the far more exciting new Twingo to consider.
