That is vaguely reminiscent of my cheese grater. You know, that end that cuts it into really fine pieces?

Not trying to be a dick, but that looks very cheap.

Spray it black, use a different mesh, re-attach the emblem to the new grille. The execution doesn't have to be the sames as posted.

Fuck grilles.

You still have that? I could've sworn you were talking about getting rid of it quite a while back.

Could work, were it black, but honestly I think stock looks better in this case. This is bordering on Ford F-150 chicken-wire grilles levels of weird.
I mean, seriously. It's two c-clamps, a couple metal bars, and some chicken wire. Ugh.
I do quite like how my car looked before plastidip with the totally blacked-out grille, though:

I did something similar to this, and it came out much better. Slightly bigger mesh spaces, and a gunmetal color, none of that shiny silver crap.

It just occured to me that the 'slit' between the headlights would make an awesome ram air intake.

Been trying but still haven't fixed the power steering. Or replaced the timing belt. But it's been problem free otherwise, and gets REALLY good gas mileage and I have a long commute so...

Yeah, I've been toying with the notion of moving on from my car too. Mechanically it's perfect and still has years of life left in it, but between the power locks that don't work, a passenger door that cannot be opened, and some banged up bodywork it's starting to be not quite as nice as it was when I got it. Unfortunately my savings aren't good enough that I could afford something better, just similar, nor do I think I could find something as unique or fun to drive with my budget.
Also I'd have to change my username so there's that...

There's all sorts of mesh patterns to choose from, and you could always plastidip it to keep the blacked-out look. I'm sure you could also figure out a way to re-attach the badge to the new grille too so it looks somewhat stock.
