Update: I choose Mustang!

I can't explain just yet, because things aren't official yet and I'm working things out with some family things involved, but I need your excellent car ideas and advice.

I need a Winter-beater with two doors, 2+2 seating, RWD, a manual tranny and an engine bigger than a 4-cylinder all for $2000 or lower. Yes, I want this in a winter car.

V6 mustang/camaro. No one will care if you wreck it. Don't wreck your 944 dreams over a winter ice/snow incident. Plus they're cheap to own and repair. Oh and if you get rid of, or lose, your Focus ST you can replace it with a 944 or 911 and not care.

I must say that's an unusual list of desired attributes for a winter beater. Usually it's "not too horrible to drive, not too rusty, must start easily and be easy to push out of a snow bank".
