Well, almost. M2 is probably the most interesting of the 90's Mazda sub-brands. While it's mostly known for special edition Miatas and Autozam AZ-1's they also came up with many interesting concepts. M2 1007 is one of them, a 4 door sports car based on the third gen RX-7 powertrain. Sadly it never made it past the scale model phase.

It is rumored that this project may have led to the development of RX-8 later but we can't be sure about that.

It's just the way the M2 1007 looks from the C-pillar on back, it's nearly identical to the RX-8's silhouette.
