My Mom brought her Explorer in on Tuesday for a few minor issues. She needed her SYNC to be re-programmed, there was a squeak coming from the rear and there was a recall on power steering. At first they said they will only be able to do the SYNC and she will be able to pick it up at the end of the day. She calls at 3:30 and asks if her car is still going to be ready, the dealer says they have found the source of the squeak (rear brakes) and can get the power steering fixed if she leaves the car for another day. She agrees and calls again the next day at 3:30 and they say the recall part has failed and needs to left with them for longer. At this point she is angry as she is down a car and worried, because she was basically just told the recall part is crap and will break. I told her it was probably a tech fucking up but she is still skeptical. So we hit today and she calls the dealer and says she is coming in at 3:30 and expects her car to be ready, the dealer says they cant be sure and offers her a loaner, she holds firm and expects her car, the dealer says they will give it priority. I drop her off at the dealer and go to work. I get a text about an hour later and My mom ended up going home in a Focus loaner. They say her car should be ready by Monday. Thats 6 days, at least, for a pretty simple list.

What dealer did you take it too? At least you've got a Focus to drive or even a loaner haha. Mine won't be ready(if at all) until after Monday when the trans/clutch guy comes in.. -_-

I know I'm a stickler, but I would like to point out that Ford as a company really has nothing to do with this, it's the dealer. I always kind of bugs me when people blame the company when they have a shitty dealership experience. They are separate companies.
