Since shrines are privatised and run by families (same with many Buddhist temples), it's not unusual at all to see personal vehicles parked on the grounds, as one of the buildings is the family's residence.
Sports cars... that's pretty rare.

Yeah, I'm used to personal cars but never seen something like this. Looking at the amounts required to get your companies name on one of the lanterns or to sponsor the Gion matsuri I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Yasaka is pretty well off. The Meiji shrine seemingly owns half of Shibuya, maybe I should keep an eye out on their grounds...

The family thing can be a curse though... I had a friend who is now a monk at Soji-ji in Yokohama because his family ran a temple and would be homeless if he didn't take over.
