It's been a completely awesome Saturday morning. At 7:30 AM I was awake and driving the Chrysler down to the little Italian shop where I have it serviced at. (The mechanic there has serviced the car for over 20 years!)
I had my Chrysler "saftey inspected" for $120 by a guy known only as Ganja (I'm dead serious) so now the car is ready for the road officially.
I test drove a Fiat 124 Spider (pictured) and fell in love with it. It's a 1972 model and he wants $4k for it. I might actually do this one and become an owner of two classics.
I had to buy a ton of stuff for the Chrysler at NAPA so I drove over there and they were having a crazy customer appreciation day with free burgers, drinks and everything was 25% off. They miraculously had everything in stock and I saved $75 from the sale.
I should also note that after my little tune-up, the big Chrysler runs like a damn champ and was just a lovely burbly boat to tool around in today. The car was completely unphased by today's 29 degree heat.
Some days things just go your way and today everything is grand.
ALSO! Who is going to the Cars and Coffee at Engineered Automotive tomorrow? I'll be there with the Chrysler.
