One of my best friends works at a Dodge dealership, and said that he could probably hook me up with a Hellcat joyride test drive when they get one on the lot. But with the now 700 hp and who knows what else, I fear that it will be nailed to the showroom floor to keep riff raff like myself from having my fun. We'll see, I suppose.

Be honest, that was always a high possibility no matter the HP.

I know. But what little hope I had is getting smaller. Maybe I'll wear a suit and use big words to look rich and important.

they will lock it down because more than likely who ever buys it will trailer it home and not put any miles on becuase its a investment.

I once read that really high scale retailers look at customers who carry themselves well but wear casual clothing as potential targets because they aren't trying to be noticed and sold something. Those who dress up in such a manner often get ignored or not taken seriously.

I'll see if I can find the reference.

The main problem is this: I'm 25, but no matter how I attempt to alter my appearance, I look like I'm 18. Maybe I can pull off a "trust fund kid" look?

The original article is in the NY Times and I don't subscribe but there's a study done in Milan by Harvard grad students. The study noted that greater attention was given to women shoppers in gym clothes than more "elegant" attire.

I'm 24 and get the same thing. Can't grow facial hair for the life of me (trying it now and I get a natural goatee really). I just start asking questions and such and get to drive things if I hit it off with the salesperson. It's worked so far.

It's been my experience to be straight up with them. Such as: I'm cross-shopping this with x-brand and wanted to drive the vehicle to see the differences. Or, I'm not ready to buy just yet but I want to drive the vehicle to make sure its the right fit, etc....
