Since there's already been a couple posts about 2 wheelers today, might as well do this.

Also, since I haven't posted a pic of my recent (first!) bike acquisition.. here it is.

Kinja'd!!!

2001 Suzuki GSX-600 Katana.

Totally un-modified and I assume adult owned over it's 2 owners. Only 4700 miles on it.. well, 5100 now :-)

And yes, I took the safety course. And have appropriate safety gear.

Oh, and as a bonus, here's a Brando inspired sort of motorcycle song:

As an avid rider I'd like to pass on a big congrats! That's a great bike and we had one of those with us on our trip through BC many years ago. Here is a gratuitous clip of my triple taking off:

Is it me or is that front fairing/front end rather large? But that seat looks so comfy.

Yeah, it's kind of huge. Decent aero though and really stable on the highway.

I won't lie, the comfy seat was a major selling point considering work is 80 miles round trip. Lots of padding and a good number of different positions you can ride in, very nice.

I bet the aero is nice. Ive had a few days here with pretty good gusts and i can really feel it. I dont know if it put my fairings back on it would help or not. Does it feel top heavy at all?

Dang 80 miles. I did about that the other day and there is something to be said about the touring style position! Its desirable! However, i love the sportbike too much to trade to that.

I still ride about 1/2 the time in a sport position, but it is nice to stretch out for a break being mostly upright. I really love how the bike is a cross in-between the two, but mostly towards the sport side.

It feels only the tiniest bit top heavy, and that's only ever annoying at low speed turns. At speed on either the highway or back roads, it actually seems like a benefit because you can just think about leaning to dodge a bit of debris or pothole and it repsonds

Haha, we had a Twin, a Triple and two I4's on that trip all with aftermarket cans. It was a tsunami of sound everywhere we went! Nothing annoying, just sweet, sweet music!
