The interior has been worked on a bit, dash cap. I polished the glass. That wheel is an old Toyota actually and a restored 240Z wheel is coming. Original engine and tranny rebuilt, I thought they changed the tranny but it is just very clean. Working a bit on the rear end, new panel and the light panel needs to be sanded and painted. Dog legs have been painted quick to match, actually doesn't look bad for a few minutes work and a couple coats. I shot some clear coat on there as well to keep it good until the car is painted someday. All the rubber and poly bits underneath are done. Undercoated the car, hard to see as the car is so low. Oh there is a new exhaust tip welded on there, what else, no aluminum radiator yet. It sounds great, we have driven it a lot since yesterday morning. I have to rotate an exhaust clamp because its the only thing that hits the speed bump a little. The seat belts are much more livable, the carbs are quite on or off, we have been playing with the throttle springs, its quite lively but its getting better and we are getting used to the car. Oh, the spook BRE air dam is not on yet, have some work to do on the lower valance.

Let me know all that's done to this car! I just picked up a 240 yesterday and it needs some updating with suspension and some other bits.

Well it really depends on what you want to do. This one has been lowered a little bit, it came that way, but so far its stock in that department. I would suggest a Maxima rear disk conversion, it hasn't been done on this one yet. I have been speaking to people at Z Car Source and a Z expert in the bay area. Tokico makes good shocks for these. The expert told us to keep it stock and then decide on any changes, once you get to know it, they are just fine with a little lowering. Make sure you get the right bushings, some people say to use poly for everything but that isn't the case, some should be rubber.

Awesome, thanks for the info. It desperately needs new suspension and brakes so that's probably going to be the first order of business.
Did he put a new radiator in? I need a new one and I'm open to suggestions cause I'm new to the Z game haha

Nice! What year?
I was digging into my 280z this weekend as well. New tie rods, steering boots, steering rack poly bushings.

Its a 5/71' and its fun to see how they used parts they had, some cars have differences. This one has the two doors behind the seats. We met a lady with a 12/71 and she doesn't have those as well as some other parts.

Haha shit! I totally forgot to find you and tell you! I picked up a '72 240 on Saturday morning! It needs a lot of work, but it's drive able for the time being. Going to do somewhat of a resto mod deal to it.
I'm in canada right now, so I haven't been able to really drive it, photograph it, or even take many pictures haha I get back to St. Louis on the 8th so expect a post and pics on the 9th!

Yeah its a beast with the triple carbs, hes breaking it in now. He went to cars and coffee Marin today and there were two other Zs there. We drove it up the coast the other day. I had never been around these and they are pretty good for the money, then and now. I think we will do the ignition next, an electronic upgrade for the distributor. There is a Costco where the cars and coffee is and he changed the tires as well today. I am going back to SF in a bit and I will have an update in perhaps two weeks.
