I am also in the process of bidding for some vintage gaming equipment.

Where I live, game consoles were not popular until maybe the PlayStation-era (I have never owned one). In the 'golden age' of consoles, they were either not available, or extremely expensive for average people. So most of us started gaming on cheaper home computers, like the ZX Spectrum of the Commodore C16/64/64+.

I also happen to have a C64 hidden away in a closet (my parents bought me the first one in 1991). I recently decided to give it a try, but I have no input device. Floppy drives are - I think - less reliable and the suitable 5.25 diskettes are more hard to come by.

So I decided to buy a C64 Datasette.
