Custom full-size vans are cool and if you don't think so you're wrong.

For one week I owned this exact van:

I worked on the shoot and bought it off the production company. I had to get it out of the prop warehouse yard it was at one day before I was able to get it into my new storage lot...I left it on the street one night unregistered, and the city took it. At that point it wasn't fully transferred to me, and wasn't smogged, so it got stuck in tow lot purgatory. It was too much of a complicated DMV nightmare to get it free.

It was awesome. '77 Dodge Tradesman. Chin spoiler, visor, full body kit, and fender flares. I had to replace the starter to get it out of the prop house lot. It barely made it through the shoot, and had to be towed away at the end. It cost me next to nothing, and I knew it was the starter, so I didn't care. My plan was to scrape the foam off, and paint it Laguna Seca Blue. Then have a sign painter paint "The Bird's Nest" in script on the side. My plan was to use it to tow my Miata to the track.
