And no, I wouldn't. If I got caught I would simply say I though it was an civilian in a fake police car trying to rob me. I've never seen a Beetle cop car and didn't find it authentic. Note, this does happen frequently.

Our Provincial PoPo ran a couple of them for promotional work (stay in school, don't do drugs, speed killls, we are not giant douches, we are giant douches, incest is best, etc.). It was a little odd to see them on the highways but the black and white scheme really worked on them.
