So I plan on going to Katie's Cars and Coffee for the first time tomorrow.
A couple of questions:
1) What time should I get there?
2) I plan on bringing The Beast (sans pallets) - but am not sure if she's really show worthy given the high dollar rides that frequent this event. My question is where should I park?
3) Who from Oppo will I get to meet?
4) What's the policy on bringing your own coffee?

1) I usually go around 8:30 and stay for an hour. See a lot of great cars and I'm not waking up TOO early.
2) the lot is shaped in a big "L" with the really nice cars parking along the long main strip.
3) I can't make it tomorrow :(
4) I don't even buy coffee from Katie's, so I don't think they'd mind

I'll be there too. Look for a VW Phaeton. Or a barefoot guy. Either way, you're bound to find me. As for your questions:
1. If you want to show your car, make sure you get there by 6:45 a.m. at the latest . After that, the show lots are full, and you'll have to park in the outer visitor lots. But even those fill up by 7:15, so I wouldn't show up any later than that.
2. See the attached map. Red or orange lots, if you're planning on displaying. Blue or green if you're not (though cool cars do typically end up there, too).
3. You'll meet me, if you can find me. The short dude who hates shoes and takes a bazillion pictures of cars.
4. You can totally bring your own coffee. People do it all the time.
See you there!

By 8:30, the show's winding down, and a lot of the good stuff has left. For a first-timer, I'd recommend getting there closer to the beginning of the show.

That's interesting enough to park in the orange lot.
I'm going to try to get the first spot in the blue section with the Vanagon, or off in the corner of the orange. Close, but out of the way. See you guys there.
While interesting, and not seen often, a Vanagon is pretty far down on the Katie's food chain.

Yeah, this guy's always gone by 7:00. Dude stays long enough to have one cup of coffee, then he jets.

I've seen you before. I noticed you by your lack of shoes, so that makes sense.

Contain yourself! I know. It might be the 5th rarest car here.

2-3 hours depending on traffic. If you leave at the crack of dawn (like 4am) you can easily get there around the time it starts. Otherwise, I'd try and come up Friday night if you have somewhere to stay.
I'm going the oppo direction tonight, have a high school reunion in OC tomorrow night.

Should I put it in the red lot, or over in the orange? I don't want it to cause traffic jams so i was thinking the very end of the orange near the green. But if i do that people might stop and not look at it before they realize its a 6 speed manual fucking sonata .

OC NJ? That's a hike, but you are welcome to stay at my place and we could venture out very early the next morning.

About three and a half hours. If you're leaving from Ocean City and want to make the beginning of the show, you'll need to leave at 3:30 AM. Oof.

Ohhh snap. I didn't know you were in OCMD. And yes, it really is home of the bro truck. crusin' week in May certainly proves that time and time again.

You should be fine anywhere in the orange. Make sure you keep the windows rolled down so people see it's a FUCKING MANUAL SONATA.
Really though, once you get there you'll pretty much know exactly where to park. Last time I went I parked my 328i next to a brand new 320i that was the same color and an M3. It was a cool little bmw spot, and naturally all of us were on the line.
