At this risk of sounding very silly - can or has anyone dropped the ford ecoboost motor or the 1.0L 3 cylinder in a miata yet?? i wonder how it would go..

My understanding is that they are still somewhat hard to get a hold of - unless you buy a Fiesta and yank it out.
I'd love to stuff a 3 cylinder ecoboost into many a vehicle...

Another thing to consider: it might be small, but it's still a cast-iron block. Not sure how the weight stacks up to an existing Miata motor.
