...but I find gun sounds extremely relaxing for some reason.
I visualize the sound as a pack of gunmen taking care of my adolescent angst and other problems. Schoolwork? Pressure? Future? Ratta-tat-tat them like they're rival bootleggers.

wait until it's the "tak-tak-tak" of 7.62 hitting near you, not very relaxing then...
Conversely, the pop of 5.56 and "kadunk-kadunk-kadunk" of 50 calibers going the other way let's you relax a little

Haha! You know, Im far from a gun nut. I think both sides of the gun/anti gun people make good arguments. I appreciate the mechanics of guns, especially auto and semi-auto. But taking my AR15 to the range and killing some targets, is very soothing to me as well. After sending a couple hundred rounds down range. I find that Im relaxed and let most anything slide for a while. I dunno maybe Im crazy. However the same can be said for us auto enthusiasts.

If you want some real fun, go into something like Counterstrike, and start setting some of the various gun sounds for notifications. The Beretta 3 round burst was a good one, but if you really want to have fun, use something like the AWP for email notification. Really fun when a virus gets loose! Sounds like WWIII

Too many people forget about the shooting-for-fun part of gun ownership. It's ok to own a gun, hell even 10, and you don't have to be waving the rebel flag and threatening to shoot everyone that knocks on your door.

So true, they are a ton of fun, thats one of the main reasons I have them. I dont go around advertising that I have guns, and people are usually suprised, as I dont give off that vibe. Obviously, if the situation arised, god forbid. Im glad to have them, and would defend my home and family.

90% of gun owners are like this. I think if every gun owner open carried for a day, not only would crime go down (because who would fuck with a guy with a gun?) but anti-gun people would go into shock.
