If there's one thing I enjoy randomly coming across in an urban environment, it's full on race cars. Actually, i enjoy those in rural environments too....and the suburbs for that matter. In any case, I came across this ST165 Celica All-Trac and had to snap a couple of pics.
I must confess to being just a shade conflicted considering how rare these are in the U.S., but it's hard to complain about a homologized rally car being used as a...well...rally car.
Interesting to note, this owner appears to have modified the headlights, likely to save weight. They've also added a front mounted intercooler and poked some holes in the hood to vent some of the heat from the engine.

There have been a few of these entered in SP class at SCCA and Rally America stage rally races. While they're cool to look at, they're not very fast or very competitive, mostly due to being kind of porky and small support for parts.

Yeah, i've actually seen one at a rally america event i went to like 15 years ago. I just lose my shit when i see them because they're so rare and because I used to own one.
I know they're fat.
