Could use the same engine of the 2015 Mustang (2.3 EcoBoost with "at least" 305hp) with AWD and a 6 speed manual.

Only if it's somehow the same weight as the mustang. Otherwise it'll be a bit of a hog.

Focus ST estate would pretty much be my perfect daily driver. I'm looking at focus estates for my first car but sadly I can't quite afford an ST... or one made in the past decade...

As a 2+2 coupe it would basically be a 2015 Mustang, wouldn't it?

And like I said, the idea is AWD, since it is already available in the 2.0 Fusion.

More or less, which is probably a reason why they don't do it, though at that point it would also be better to hand it over to Lincoln to make something classier out of it. Closer to a DB9.

4-bangers belong in small cars, so the 2.3 turbo should go in an AWD Focus. The AWD Fusion (and Mustang) should get the 2.7 (and 3.5) V6 twin turbo.

I have a nephew who loves mustangs and has a Mustang GT, don't remember year but fairly new. I asked him if he was going to get the new 2015 Mustang because now it has the independent rear suspension. He said no, because it looks to much like the Fusion not a Mustang. Now he has even more reason not to like the new Mustangs.
