I can't be the only one that likes this little scamp, can I? The fully loaded one is $30,000, which seems very reasonable. It's like a luxury Suzuki Swift. I like the fact that it can be had with AWD, and that it can be had in bright, Toyota Tacoma blue. I like the little turbo 1.4 engine. I even like the exterior styling. And I absolutely love the brown and black leather interior on the top-spec one, which may be the nicest interior on any $30,000 new car.

looks like sperm. No me gusta.

Kind of looms like a Fiat 500 on steroids. Nice leather interior

I like it.

I like it a lot, and the public seems to as well.
The Trax will be the one everyone buys when it comes out though, it being cheaper and all.
Two GM posts by you in one day... I sense something.

whats the awd system? Bore it out to 1.6 and Make it a WRC special :)

SADDLE! Also, it needs to be a hybrid!

I'm not converted yet. Still, give it time.

Pretty cool little dude. Manual option?
![]() 06/21/2014 at 22:12 |

it's cool. Called the Opel Mokka in Europe I think. It's different, but for the money, I'd get a Hyundai Tuscon honestly

This, the Escalade, and tying the CTS for first in luxury sedans.
You sir, are being converted slowly but surely.

To be honest, I don't usually give them much thought, but since you've been mentioning them, I've been playing around on the configurators. This, the (still expensive) Escalade, the SS, the stingray, the CTS. There are quite a few I like. And, for the first time, none of them I really hate.

You can get a Chevrolet Traxx in Mexico with. Wait for it. STICK
I was thinking it would be seriously cool to buy one stick and just try and modify it to have sort of a tall hatchback thingy that can drift in the beach.

I wish I could recommend this more than once.
Have a Stingray.

Not in the US :(

Thanks. Have a 911.
I'm trying to hold out a little longer.

So sad.

I'm not a fan and I'll use your words to describe why- "It's like a luxury Suzuki Swift." I like the Chevy Trax version, but for me this car with a Buick badge is all wrong. Then again they sell really well, so what do I know,
![]() 06/21/2014 at 22:42 |

It's a jacked up Sonic.
You could probably tune it for 200 ft lb of torgue though
![]() 06/21/2014 at 22:44 |

I would think that would be a selling point for you. ;)
![]() 06/21/2014 at 22:48 |

Thanks, have a Regal GS
You know you want to.

I said that, not VVCW. And I like the idea of tiny luxury cars. I like the Merc CLA, the Audi A3, and the BMW 1/2 series. And the Mini cooper RR edition that cost 50K . And kind of the Aston Martin Cygnet.

The GS is good. It has just one major problem:
![]() 06/21/2014 at 22:55 |

The picture didn't work at first, so I thought you meant the car. I was like, "wha...?"
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:03 |

But both have this major problem.

Welcome to the GM side, where our motto is "Stay calm, pop it in neutral, turn it back on, and continue on your merry way"
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:13 |

I do still like Audi's motto:
"If you tap the brakes one more time, I'm gonna punt your miserable Accent into the ditch. Now, get out of my way, I'm important!"

I hate how they look for some reason. Like an awkwardly proportioned high heel shoe on wheels.
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:16 |
|
I can see that. I suppose "polarizing" would be the right word.
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:19 |

I'm not going to say anything...if you like it that's what matters.
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:19 |

If money were no object I'd go with a Mini countryman S. As money typically is an object I'd probably go with a Juke instead. This class is really interesting to me because my wife loves suvs and I love sports cars and these things are the closest we can come to agreeing on something.

Can't believe I forgot to mention the Jeep Renegade. Really curious to see how it prices.
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:20 |

And how about you? I'm hard to offend, especially since I didn't make it.
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:21 |

I forgot about it too. Damn, I like those.
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:21 |

Honestly, it's a decent car. I don't like that they badge it as a Buick, and I don't really find it attractive at all. Other than that, people seem to like it quite a bit and it seems very practical!

Oops replied to myself haha. Honestly, it's a decent car. I don't like that they badge it as a Buick, and I don't really find it attractive at all. Other than that, people seem to like it quite a bit and it seems very practical!

LOL people have been doing that all day.
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:29 |

I don't like it one bit, but GM is obviously onto something, since they're selling quite well.

Dammit Kinja! I swore I responded to you.
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:31 |

Yeah on top of my desire for something that tries to flip itself a little less I'd also like it if the vehicle running the kids everywhere actually got decent fuel economy. The renegade probably wouldn't be any fun in the twisties but it ticks all the other boxes.
![]() 06/21/2014 at 23:43 |

Polarizing is the perfect way to describe them.
![]() 06/22/2014 at 00:01 |

Doesn't it use a Fiat platform?
![]() 06/22/2014 at 00:02 |
|
yeah
![]() 06/22/2014 at 00:02 |
|
Then it could handle better than expected.
![]() 06/22/2014 at 00:09 |
|
I don't expect that to be a priority for the Jeep engineers who are tuning the chassis for their needs.
![]() 06/22/2014 at 00:56 |

It's a nice car, but I have a few complaints.
1. The seats are way too narrow.
2. It is really underpowered ( makes it hard to chirp the tires)
3. The transmission is programmed to prevent neutral drops.
(The encore I drove was a rental car)
![]() 06/22/2014 at 01:59 |

I think the Swift is a Fantastic hatchback. But yeah, a real Buick it isnt, but then again, the only "real" Buicks are only the Lacrosse and Enclave. Still, that Trax with stick is only base, and for a pretty reasonable $18 grand.

Am I wrong?
![]() 06/22/2014 at 09:11 |
