...is there an equivalent blog for Kotaku? One for the game-enthusiast? If it's full of 10 yr old boys filled with hate speech unkind words is a completely different matter. I would just like to check it out.

"hate speech"? I know it seems harmless, but adopting the ban-everything crowd's buzzwords only hastens the day when everything is illegal.

Yes, actually. There is .
And a lot of the content there is actually pretty darn good. Not ALL of it, but almost all.

I'd agree with his assessment. There is way too much bickering and it generally resorts to name calling of the race/ religion/ sexuality kind.

It's called TAY, I believe.

In response to this, I'd probably clarify it by saying that most people don't want to deal with the same shit that comes out of a 13 year-old gamer's mouth during a round of Battlefield.
I think a more correct word would be "civilized-speak".

Um, perhaps hate speech was a bit strong of a term. I'll put it like this, with Jalopnik and oppo, I enjoy the articles and the comments. It's like an internet auto show.
With kotaku, I read it for the articles purely. The commenters tend to be...strongly opinionated (or at least the comments I have seen). Don't get me wrong, opinions are good, I like them. But when they are closed minded and hate a game purely because it's not 'call of duty', and trash talk everything else. I dont really look forward to that kind of stuff.

At least online, I just want to check it out and hope it's different. I enjoy a high level talk of gaming.

that is true. I play because it's fun. I really don't need a 'youngin' telling me stuff about my mom.
