So my family and I were out and about, doing things. We were about to head home, but stopped at a frozen yogurt place, because my kids love it.
We pull into the parking lot and across the way is a really clean looking Evo 8. I got out of the miniature van and looked at it from across the parking lot for a bit. Then, much to my surprise, our oldest daughter yelled out, "Hey look daddy, it's a Mitsubishi!" I asked her how she knew that, and she said it was from all the times she looked at cars with me on the internet. Awesome.
Now, here is a random picture of an Evo IV I found via GIS.

My youngest (4) sees anything with a Ford badge and says its the same car as my Sister's (Edge). F150? Thats A Ford Edge. EconoVan? That's a Ford Edge. Ford Edge? You better believe that's a Ford Edge.
He's now says they are like her CUV, and not Actually her CUV. So there's some progress at least.
BTW, every Doge is the same as daddy's car...

I love those moments! My son is getting into recognizing car brands now, so far he knows Fords, Hondas (their entire lineup, since my inlaws all own Hondas...), Nissan, Chevy, BMW, Toyota, and Lexus.

That is where our oldest is (she is 9 on Friday). She knows Toyotas because we own two, my parents-in-laws own two, my brother in law and wife own one. She also knows Mustangs, for some odd reason.
But she really surprised me with the whole Mitsubishi thing. It was a nice surprise.

Awesome! The lil tike who lives next door is about 2 and knows three types of cars "Baru" = subaru. "Mini" = Mini cooper. I forget what the third one is. Apparently his parents let him watch a lot of rally racing, or so I am told.

I had my kids watch some of the Le Mans race with me this past weekend. I then told them they race through the night and my older daughter was intrigued. So later that day, I showed her part of the race at night. It was like the coolest thing she had seen in a long time. Made me pretty happy.
