I enjoy the crispness of a new BMW's manual trans. I don't enjoy the squishiness of the steering though.

I'm glad to see they're sticking with the shorter, weighted ZHP-style shift knob. I replaced the goose neck in my previous E92 335 with one and it made a world of difference. I even have moments where I want to do it to my E90 M (using the F10 M5 lighted knob), but can't bring myself to rip apart the stock shifter/boot/plastic ring, which are all glued together. Blah.

Yea, I've looked into replacing the boot with a custom Alcantara one, but the knob does appear to glued from my research. A little extra work, but doable.

wellllllllllllll if you look at all the race cars they have the shift extender that actually raises the lever even higher, so I don't know what the heck to do lol.
