A land yacht for your trouble:

Kinja'd!!!

I'm coming up for review soon. And usually I tend to get ahead of the ball.

It's a great tip if you feel you have a rapport with your upperlings and want to shape the review process stealthily.

In my experience, employers enjoy a proactive and self aware employee who is willing to address his/her own faults. And something like this also takes the innate tension out of the review interaction—in which criticisms that need to be said can cause emotional tension on both sides of the table. A manager who knows his employee know that there are things to work on will have a much smoother time shaping an action plan.

This is going out to my boss this eve. It should land well.

This is great. I think more young men and women need a similar philosophy.

My boss in February sent me an email asking me to update my job duties. After 7 years I thought that was odd. But yeah sure. About a week later when I got my review the revisions on my job description were cut and pasted onto my review. Verbatim.
