My friend and I trying to figure out French cars. More Downers Grove picks to come.

I grew up around one of these:
Also French and Weird, but not as weird / interesting as that Citroen.
A car magazine once described the shifter on this car as looking like "a pimple on top of a strand of hair." That one stuck with me.
p.s. dammit Kinja! I just spent way too much time trying to get the pics to work.

Where you're going wrong is you're not smoking cigarettes. You'll never figure a French car out without a Gitane in your mouth.

Magic, as far as I'm aware. Either that or witchcraft.
Very cool though :) I'd love a BX personally. Massively 80s, but in the best way possible.

I must have a DS, a SM, a Mehari, a 2CV, Turbo 2, and an Alpine A110 in my life at some point... Or, you know, an Avions Voisin, Dlehaye, Delage, or Talbot Lago.

That DS looks fantastic! I've only seen one other in the Chicagoland area, and that was at the Geneva Concours.
