...It's actually coming from an E39 BMW 540i, via its M62tu and six-speed transmission, and through a resonator-less Dinan exhaust system. This video is sort of a test of an idea I had to treat some of the extra exhaust noise clips I had lying around as the music it rightfully is, and to allow people to hear clean samples of cars and to replay parts they enjoy. So take a look and let me know if you want this series to grow.

I really like this as a series idea. It's kind of like what FinalCorner has gotten famous for on Youtube, except rather than amateur-filmed, short clips of various cars, its an in-depth focus on the full exhaust range of one. Very good idea, I hope this takes off and becomes something.

That's what I've been thinking about. The best exhaust clips I have aren't too cinematic, and the cinematic shots don't generally have excellent sound. So instead of trying to throw together a montage of raw clips, I decided to just stick to the stylized video and the raw, unedited sound, and then focus on cinematic shots in other clips.

I love it, and depending where you are located I can proveide an E46 for sampling.

Zoom H4n audio recorder mounted via camera suction mount to the rear bumper.

This is a brilliant idea.
I had a similar one a while back when I bought my Zoom and GoPro. Basically to make a series of '1-minute of pure sound' videos, but most of the cars I can film aren't roadworthy at the moment and I haven't got your sort of levels of access.
If you'd like a contributor though, I'd be glad to do that :)
