I was upset about a (poorly planned in my opinion) lane change/lane split on a major highway in southwestern PA today that basically doubled my morning commute that I used the powers of the internet to look up the head Project Manager for the entire construction project and I gave him a call to voice my (then) furious complaints.
I requested the help of the Google and before I knew it I had this guys number and I was ready to complain like a old man angry at the world. To be honest I thought I'd get an assistant or a voicemail but to my surprise I got the actual person I thought I would be furious with.
He asked me who I was, naturally, and I told him "I'm simply a motorist". He relaxed and actually was a very nice guy and I soon found myself less angry but still determined to voice my complaint. I asked what would be the proper channel to file a complaint and he was more than helpful, he then even offered a couple detour suggestions and admitted that I was right to be upset. This guy was a pro.
So, I ended the phone call and I don't know what, if anything, I accomplished other than showing how much of an old man I am at heart.
Well, I guess I found out that the shitty lane split will last another month and a half, so there's that.

Awesome. Ottawa has a ridiculously dangerous onramp at one point where it sends 2 lanes of vehicles from a light up the onramp that has a lane end in it and doubles as an offramp. They should make the right lane end before the highway merge, it's just too hard to merge, and keep track of traffic merging from both sides.

I feel you. I get the urge to call someone to express my dislike of one thing or another at least once a week.
