24-liter engine, 502 HP @ 2200 rpm, 1184 goddamn lbs/ft of torque. That's not a typo.
Pre-war cars are the best.

A yes. A time when men were men and auto racing was sketchy as hell. And the men who drove these beasts had balls of steel carried in a wheelbarrow by children.

Hah, yeah. What do you mean by "men were men", though? (not pissed just genuinely curious)

It was just an "overly manly man" joke.

Actually though, I need to start learning my pre-war cars, that thing is more beautiful than anything made today.

Right!? Pre-war cars are just so extremely intriguing to me. They're retro sci-fi incarnate, they're all so classy and still manage to be more badass than modern cars.

Gotta make room for the left and right cylinder banks!

It takes the old "old supercar vs new supercar" debate to a whole new level. I just never read anything about, just saw pictures like these, but now I realize I should really get into them more....

They made some amazing, amazing machines back then, and not necessarily weak dainty ones. If you're interested in such stuff I suggest two cars: the Mefistofele Fiat and "The Beast of Turin".

28L straight six
Chain driven
Goddamn
Also the Fiat setting a 146 record in 19 fucking 24.... I love it.

Also, The Brutus is so sick, recommended on Youtube after watching a vid on the Fiat. I remember that was on here or the FP a while ago. But seeing those controls outside the car and the way the start it, it's like nothing else.

28 liters... of twin goddamn airship engine. On a wooden goddamn chassis. With no seatbelts or safety engineering
The Naipier-Railton here set 167 MPH, and that was only 8 years later.

This is one hell of a phase I'm going through lol.

Pre-War Cars are never a phase. Pre-War Cars will take you for their own. join usss

I hope it's not phase, but the want is too intense!
