Just lost 90% of the pics and videos on my phone. Including videos of my oldest daughter's choir concert just last week. I didn't have auto backup turned on, but do now. THANKS GOOGLE.

Not sure what happened, all the files in the Camera folder were just GONE, and in the LOST.DIR there were a couple hundred files of unknown type. When I changed some of them to .jpg or .mp4 they came back as their former selves. Phone is still having a hard time recognizing half of those, though.

Ugh. I hate technology.

BUT, since I did do an auto backup through Google, it pulled a shit ton of Photobucket, Picasa, and other stuff from my Chromebook into the account so now its all in one place.

check you chats. if you have sent people pictures you could recover them that way too

It's not google's fault, it's Obama's. Specifically the NSA's. They should make sure the data connection is secure and continuous so's they don't corrupt the files and info they're covertly copying from you.

Most the pics I lost were unshared and I didn't upload many of them to anywhere.

Being former Blackberry Techsupport for Tmobile I am shocked that android cannot backup completely the way old school blackberries can.

Did you remove the SD card without ejecting it in the settings first? Had this happen to me and I lost a ton of stuff. Really only one picture Im upset about though. I go through every few days/weeks and send stuff to my dropbox.
