I believe I just saw a 25 year edition Miata. I didn't know they were out in the wild yet? But I must say best looking miata I've ever seen. Makes me want the new one even more.

You sure it wasn't just a Club? AFAIK the 25th isn't out, as people just pre-ordered them. The Club is VERY similar, just in that brighter red with the same black accents.

My first impression of the side reflectors on the side of the fog lights is positive. Can't see much visually different in this image

I would miss the flip headlights on my '96. They complete it. This new one does do a better job of updating the main design elements of the original than the in-between models, though.
