If you can't read it, the license plate says "PVRTY" ("poverty").
On a side note, the Ferrari 456 looks absolutely stunning in this color. Here's another picture, without showing any reflection or the interior of the car I'm in:

You can pick these up for 40 grand so not necessarily a rich person.

He means himself (due to Ferrari maintenance costs)

I know, but it isn't easy for a poor person to maintain it either.

True, I was thinking more middle ground, neither rich nor poor. Maybe the license plate is referring to the queen of Survivor, Parvati Shallow.

I know what you mean. I saw this last year. Audi A7: $65,000. Nebraska Cornhuskers vanity plate: $100. 4 year bachelor's degree at Yale: $244,000. Medical school at Yale: $153,000. Letting absolutely everybody that you're a rich, snobby bastard: priceless.

A few days ago I saw a C6 Corvette (possibly Z06) with the plates "AMRICH". It was disgusting.

The 456 has one of the nicest asses Ferrari ever put on a car...somehow looks far more modern than anything else they made during that time period.

Maybe he was using the V as a U like in BVLGARI trying to be fancy old Roman style. Either way the guy is a pretentious douche.
