You're right along the back of a large group of cars, maybe 20 of them, all going about fifteen over the limit. That's just how it is in the area and nobody cares. Then, suddenly, a cop turns in behind you. Everybody is speeding, but you're in the back. You're the one who's going to pay. You have no choice but to slow down. Now, there's a cop on your tail and everyone else is leaving you behind. You watch helplessly as they pull farther and farther away, leaving you alone with the officer. They're throwing you under the bus and all you can do is hope and pray that the cop is turning off soon. When he finally does, your seat is completely full of sweat.

Personally, I think I'd rather get a ticket than swamp ass.

And sometimes, that cop shoots at +25 across the gap between his section of cars and the section you are caboosing just to pace you and ticket you because your car is flashier and he's a newbie out to earn his stripes.

Tail-end Charlie. Never a good position to be in.

A lot of times when a cop is behind me, I just pull over and let him pass.

And sometimes the cops in your hometown make a point of it to accost you on a semi-monthly basis because the racist pieces of shit running the force in your idiot backward troglodite tiny bigoted southern town see it as a good expenditure of law enforcement resources to let those darkies on bikes know they ain't welcome here.

I'd never think of that. Suspicious behavior. That's grounds for a stop and search.

That escalated quickly.

You could use a side street or commercial establishment or something. I just hate feeling like a goddam timebomb.

Jeezus that sounds terrible. Cops are the worst. Only met two ever that were respectable, nice, and logical. All the rest have basically been what you've described.

That's why I can't wait to get out of WI...they love that shit and I know they do it just for fun because they know it makes you sweat.
At least in Chicago they don't give a shit. You have to be doing something truly stupid to get pulled over on 94 once you cross the border. Pretty sure I've passed cops at 90 mph and not had a problem.

I always try to stay toward the back-middle of the pack...that way I get all the benefits of people being ahead but I'm not easily picked out of the pack.

Easier to avoid the Fw 190s that way, too.

Most definitely. They'll never get me alive.

That's atrocious behavior for police.

Cops in big cities just have better things to worry about in general... LAPD rarely pulls people over just for speeding a little bit. But they sure as hell will pull over people whose cars look suspect on the possibility that they're illegal immigrants without licenses.

That's very true. And I like it that way. They don't need to sit around and wait for someone to go 2.5 mph over the limit on an empty road so they can waste an hour of your time, verbally abuse you, and then write you a $120 ticket. I've heard LAPD is pretty lenient on speeding.
