I replaced my rear shock mounts.
Turns out, that wasn't the cause of the noise. I will be tearing into my back left door after work tomorrow.

I worked at an oil change place in college. The owner told a story of owning a mi-60s Impala and every once in a while, it would clunk. To the dealer, test drives, change the axle on that side. Clunk. Axle on the other side. Clunk. Whole new rear end. Clunk. Finally a tech at the dealership grabs and air chisel (in front of the owner!) and rips a giant hole in the inner quarter panel. Reaches around inside the gap between the panels and pulls out a whiskey bottle. On the label is written 'HAHA Fooled you guys.'
Welded inside the car from the factory. Great work there buddy.
