The very worst part? Traffic cameras. I think I got hit when some ass passed me at 45mph in a 35mph. I was doing about 40 so hopefully I avoided getting tagged.

That's awesome. I commute through there every day, when traffic and tourists allows, it's nice to stop and appreciate the views. It's not perfect, but I love being in this city.

I got a ticket with them and fought it. Took 16 months to get a response but they dropped it. I was going 27 and they said I was doing 36.

What neighbourhoods in SE are bad? Honestly I've heard such horror stories and then I look on streetview...and it looks normal...not even bars on windows....I assume I am looking in the wrong SE. I was looking around anacostia.

Generally along Good Hope Road in SE is really damn sketchy. It's improving, but the last business I visited there (EDC I think) had a bank vault-type door and bars on the windows.

There's some pretty scary areas. I got lost on my bike, (No ram mount for gps) and ended up in a sketchy bit of DC. I'm pretty sure I saw a drug deal going down, more than once lol.

I don't recommend coming back in an hour. That's when I get on the road for my morning commute, and even at 5am, 95 is a mess. Watching the sun rise while stuck in traffic is surprisingly calming though.
